Start Takeup in home slot machine to rear
Take-up roller in 1st position allows normal quilt space of 4" to 6" depending on the machine being used

Note the distance to the rear roller and were the extra bar is placed

With the Juki TL98p this is 12" of movement*

* as quilt get rolled this will decrease
Take-up roller in 2nd EXTRA position allows extra 4" quilt space

The take up roller can be moved back and forth to the first slot and extra slot

When bar is moved the ratchets automatically disengage and re-engage so no fiddling with the ratchets

This allows the whole block to be worked around with out the previous problems of leaving the needle down and moving on

Also overcomes the problems of the smaller throat machines having no quilt space when the take-up roller is full of sewn quilt.
Existing Swiftquilter can be upgraded for $250.00 + freight

Upgrade are on the return of all parts except the quilt bars and long tracks and handles

The exchanged kit will give

modified top bars RH & LH

Redrilled table bars

modified wheel frame (including the modified wheels as on later frames)

New machine board

New spacer bars for the extra travel

The Extra will still sit on the existing tables as it is the existing Swiftquilter but modified to allow the take-up roller to be moved and frame altered to allow for the extra 4"of travel
